Sunday, October 15th, was an exciting day for the Tyrone Church of the Brethren! We welcomed our new pastor, Dave Flumerfelt and his wife, Ann. Pastor Dave was formerly the chaplain at Prince Gallitzin State Park and has been very active in the Church of the Brethren Middle PA District in various capacities. In the pulpit for the first time with us, Pastor Dave preached on the scripture from John 1:1-5. His sermon was titled, “In the Beginning”.
We are all looking forward to a new beginning with our new shepherd, sharing our fellowship and the love of Christ with Pastor Dave, his wife, Ann, and the community around us. Pastor Dave has made many friends from Tyrone while ministering at Prince Gallitzin and in his work life. We were happy to have some of his friends visit with us on Sunday, sharing with us in this new chapter of our church life here at the Tyrone Church of the Brethren.
